What do I get when I book The Long Weekend for my event?
When you book us, you’ll get at least two hours of live music (and sometimes we run over – we love going above and beyond!). We provide a free DJ playlist service, and for weddings, we play your first dance. We bring a custom light show and our standard performance time runs until 12 a.m., but start times are always flexible to suit your venue.
We’re a fully roaming, wireless band (apart from the drummer!), so we interact with your guests and create special, unforgettable moments. Gone are the days of bands tucked in a corner – we’re there with you and your guests, making the day lively and memorable.
Can I add extras to the band?
Absolutely! We offer a range of extras to make your event perfect. Our “Build Your Day” tool lets you explore all the options, from acoustic daytime performances to full show packages.
How far will you travel?
We’ll travel as far as necessary! Our quotes usually cover events within a 45-minute radius of our headquarters, but we can travel further. Any additional travel costs are kept as low as possible, and we’ll always discuss them with you in advance.
How much does The Long Weekend cost?
Every event is different, depending on location, setup times, package, and extras. The best way to get an estimate is to use our custom Build Your Day tool, which gives a rough idea of costs. After that, we can sit down with you and finalise everything, so you know exactly what’s included.
Is there a deposit to pay?
Yes – to secure your date, we require a 20% deposit. You can check your date using our availability calendar. The final balance is usually due about five weeks before the event.
Are there flexible payment options?
Yes! Our standard method is bank transfer, but we can also accept credit cards (1.5% fee to cover the provider) or Klarna for instalment payments. We can create a flexible plan to pay in chunks if that works best for you.
How long does setup take?
On average, setup takes about one hour for our standard four-piece band, including soundcheck. The earlier we can arrive, the better – but we work closely with your venue and planners to ensure setup doesn’t disrupt your event. If there are any delays, we can often set up behind the scenes so everything is ready when the party starts
Where can I see The Long Weekend live?
We regularly play at The Live Lounge and The Brewhouse in Cardiff. Brewhouse shows happen three times a year, and Live Lounge events are usually every few months. It’s a great way to see us in action before your big day.
Can I choose the songs?
We have a pre-programmed setlist with custom light shows, based on years of experience (over 58 weddings in 2025 alone!). While we have a template that works really well, we adapt live depending on the crowd. If there are songs you don’t want, we can swap them. And if you want a copy of our current setlist, we can share it and make adjustments together.
What do I need to provide on the day?
A simple evening buffet for the band is always appreciated. Drinks are optional, as we can sort our own. Most venues already provide food, so it’s usually taken care of. Beyond that, we bring everything needed for the performance, including lights and sound equipment.
